Burn/Tissue Trauma

Target Audience:

This Educational Activity is designed for Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, Respiratory Therapists and Physical Therapists, who care for burn-trauma patients during the various phases of care: pre-hospital, flight, emergency room, burn center, operating room and post-anesthesia recovery room.

Goal:

This educational activity is provided to enhance the professional health care staff's knowledge of care for burn trauma patients with multi-system injuries.

Pathophysiology of Burn Injury
Burn Shock and Fluid Resuscitation
Inhalation Injury
Management of the Burn Wound from Injury to Healing
Rehabilitation of the Burn Patient
